  • Could Brady still pop up on Fox’s Super Bowl coverage Sunday?

The Tom Brady TV watch continues.

The legendary quarterback told Colin Cowherd Monday he plans to start his career as Fox Sports No. 1 analyst in Fall 2024.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner said he wants to be “great” at his next job in the Fox NFL broadcast booth.

Rather than “rush” into his new job, he wants to use the off-season to train and prepare to tend to his personal life.

While he was still an active NFL player, Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million with Fox to team with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt on the network’s No. 1 announce team.

But he split with his wife, Gisele Bündchen, this season. Brady clearly wants and needs some family time with his kids.

Fox executives naturally wanted Brady for their coverage of Super Bowl 57. But Fox left it up to Brady when he would hang up his cleats for the microphone.

Or if he wanted to join either Burkhardt and Greg Olsen in the TV booth this Sunday, participate in Fox’s 7.5-hour-long pregame show, or both.

For now, it appears that Brady will be sitting out Fox’s Super Bowl coverage. And Olsen and Burkhardt will team for their first-ever call of the Big Game on Sunday night.

Of course, nothing would stop Brady from popping up on Fox’s coverage either in person or via a remote feed similar to his appearance on “The Herd.”

Fox gets the Super Bowl again in 2025. Brady could call that game with Burkhardt.

Brady told Cowherd he discussed his plans with Fox executives last week.

As with football, Brady said: “I want to be great at what I do.”

Either way, it’s Brady’s rules and Brady’s decision.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens on Sunday.
