Miami-Indiana will kickoff Monday night as the most expensive College Football Playoff national championship game on record.

As of 2 p.m. ET Monday, less than six hours from the game’s start, the cheapest single-ticket price for two seats together at Hard Rock Stadium were more than $3,200 each on the major secondary ticketing platforms.

These were the get-in resale prices:

  • SeatGeek: $3,429
  • Ticketmaster: $3,404
  • Vivid Seats: $3,365
  • StubHub: $3,273
  • TickPick: $3,222

Those prices reflect the cost for seats in the upper deck of the 65,000-seat South Florida venue, which is where the Hurricanes play their home games, and is home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.

The get-in price for Monday’s contest climbed back over $3,000 over the weekend, after having dropped as low as $2,760 on StubHub on Thursday morning.

The previous most extensive CFP title game was Ohio State-Notre Dame last year, with the cheapest resale tickets costing $1,830 on TickPick.

Indiana is closing a 7.5-point betting favorite over Miami at most sportsbooks, with the school’s 800,000-plus worldwide alumni base (the largest of any U.S. college) preparing for the Hoosiers’ first football national championship, should they win Monday night.

Ticket prices have been a major topic ever since Indiana and Miami sealed their spots in the championship game. Billionaire Hoosiers alum and booster Mark Cuban even questioned why the prices had gotten so high.
