Premier Lacrosse League Quietly Struck Exclusive Deal With Polymarket

The deal with the PLL was not announced, but was signed earlier this year.

The Premier Lacrosse League, which recently raised $100 million from a group of big-name investors headlined by Nets owner Joseph Tsai, quietly partnered with Polymarket this year, cofounder Paul Rabil told Front Office Sports.

The agreement was not formally announced but was signed this year, Rabil told FOS at the league’s games in Connecticut last weekend. As part of the exclusive deal, Polymarket gets significant signage at PLL and Women’s Lacrosse League games, including at the central scorer’s table. In Fairfield, a QR code on the big screen pregame offered a discount promo code.

The QR code brings users to the main page for Polymarket’s U.S. app. As of Tuesday, despite the partnership, the company’s U.S. app—which launched in December—was not offering any markets on PLL games. Its international platform, which people in the U.S. are prohibited from using, does have PLL markets available, including one on which team will win the 2026 championship (volume was around $8,700 as of Tuesday morning), as well as markets on individual games and individual props like who will win coach of the year.

However, Kalshi has a U.S. market up for which team will win this year’s championship, and the volume is greater than Polymarket’s international platform (total volume was $24,850 as of Tuesday morning, and the Denver Outlaws are considered most likely to win).

It’s unclear when exactly Polymarket and PLL first entered into their agreement this year, although Polymarket has been posting about the league on its social media accounts since at least May, which is when the PLL started its 2026 season. Rabil told FOS he thinks prediction-market platforms help smaller sports like lacrosse “from a conversational perspective.” Polymarket declined to comment for this story.

Polymarket and Kalshi are the top two prediction-market platforms in the U.S.—followed by Underdog. They’ve been competing for attention and formal affiliations with sports leagues, news networks, and more. Sports leagues at first were hesitant to get into the world of prediction markets due to the controversy surrounding whether sports-event contracts should be regulated on a state-by-state basis the same way traditional sports betting is. Since late last year, many have begun to come around.

In October, the NHL announced both Polymarket and Kalshi as official partners; subsequently, Kalshi and the Blackhawks signed their own deal, and Polymarket and the Rangers announced an agreement.

Since then, Polymarket has struck deals with MLB, UFC, and soccer leagues including MLS, LaLiga, and Serie A. In addition to the NHL, Kalshi has deals with Pro Padel League, Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (which owns the arena), and Freestyle Chess, which was cofounded by world chess champion Magnus Carlsen.

Both platforms have been in talks with the NBA for months, and sources told FOS in April the league could have formal deals in place before the start of next season. The NFL has publicly remained opposed to prediction markets over concerns including market integrity, although sources expect the league will eventually work with the industry.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
