Lil Wayne’s Sports Agency Signs Another Colorado Player

Lil Wayne’s sports agency continues its run of signing Colorado football players, boosted by last month’s decision by Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

Lil Wayne’s sports agency is signing another Colorado football player in the wake of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter choosing the rapper’s firm over more established agencies.

Colorado safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig announced his decision to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft on Instagram Sunday and put the Young Money APAA Sports logo at the top of his announcement. “I am overly excited to announce that I am declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft,” he wrote. He also tagged the agency, and its cofounder and CEO Adie von Gontard commented “Go time.”

Lil Wayne also posted the same announcement letter from his Instagram account. “Got Moms out brudda!!!! MULA BABY,” the rapper wrote.

Silmon-Craig spent the past two seasons at Colorado after playing for head coach Deion Sanders at Jackson State in 2021 and 2022. He played in 25 games total for the Buffaloes, compiling 98 solo tackles and four interceptions.

At the collegiate level, Young Money APAA Sports also represents Colorado defensive end Jehiem Oatis, a former five-star recruit who recently transferred from Alabama, as well as new Duke quarterback Darian Mensah, who signed a two-year, $8 million NIL (name, image, and likeness) deal to transfer from Tulane, CBS Sports reported.

Young Money APAA Sports has still yet to announce Hunter’s signing, which Front Office Sports first reported last month. Hunter has not announced his decision to declare for the NFL Draft, but he is widely expected to do so and is projected to be a top-five pick in April.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
