Kraft Group Breaks Ground on $225M Gillette Stadium Renovations

  • The project will be entirely funded by the Kraft family.
  • Improvements will include the largest outdoor HD video board in the United States.
New England Patriots

On Wednesday, New England Patriots and Revolution owner Robert Kraft celebrated Gillette Stadium’s 20th anniversary by breaking ground on new improvements.

Renovations at the north end zone are expected to cost $225 million and will be entirely funded by the Kraft family. By contrast, the Bills are using $850 million of public money to build their new $1.4 billion stadium.

Improvements to the grounds will include 75,000 square feet of hospitality space and the largest outdoor HD video board in the United States.

In addition, the stadium’s iconic lighthouse will get an observation deck.

Besides hosting the Pats and Revs, Kraft hopes to attract more entertainment and sporting events of all kinds.

Gillette Stadium is reportedly a finalist to host a future Army-Navy football game, possibly as soon as 2023.
