  • That created a “pipeline” of more than 6,000 new season ticket sales.

The Colorado Buffs are already benefiting from Deion Sanders’ arrival from a season ticket perspective.

Since Sanders admitted he had gotten the job offer on Nov. 28, the school received more than 7,000 interest forms for season tickets, according to data provided to FOS.

  • That started a “pipeline” of more than 6,000 new season ticket sales.
  • The school inked $1.2 million in renewal sales for the first week of Sanders’ formal announcement, which came on Dec. 3 — a 28% renewal rate.

The school was unable to provide comparisons to previous years — but multiple metrics suggest the “Deion Sanders Effect” rakes in more exposure and revenue.

Sanders’ presence contributed to record ratings to the SWAC Championship Game and landed Jackson State on ESPN “College GameDay” for the first time.

He’s already helped boost social media following and merchandise sales. Fanatics saw a 700% increase in sales since Dec. 3 compared with last year.

Season ticket sales don’t include the student section, however, and single-game tickets will not go on sale until February, so the full magnitude of Sanders’ arrival remains to be seen.

The numbers could also increase given that Sanders’ son, Shedeur, will also likely transfer to Colorado. In his introductory press conference, Sanders said his son was the Buffs’ new quarterback — and he’s since entered the transfer portal.
