Season 2 of TGL wrapped this week as the indoor team golf league finally welcomed cofounder Tiger Woods back to SoFi Center ahead of a pivotal offseason.
Los Angeles Golf Club swept Woods’s Jupiter Links Golf Club 2-0 in the best-of-three match TGL Finals played out Monday and Tuesday. LAGC owners Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams, who are married, were in attendance to see their team capture the SoFi Cup.
Woods made his TGL season debut in Match 2 on Tuesday, his first competitive action since rupturing his left Achilles tendon in March 2025 and undergoing another back surgery in October.
For the championship, LAGC members Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Sahith Theegala, and Collin Morikawa will split $9 million in prize money. Jupiter Links—Max Homa, Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner, Akshay Bhatia, and Woods—get $4.5 million for second place.

- Los Angeles Golf Club: $9 million
- Jupiter Links Golf Club: $4.5 million
- Boston Common Golf: $2.25 million
- Atlanta Drive Golf Club: $2 million
- The Bay Golf Club: $1.75 million
- New York Golf Club: $1.5 million
The $21 million in total prize money is equal to the payouts in Season 1 in 2025.
TGL’s Next Chapter
After two seasons on ESPN platforms, TGL’s initial two-year media rights deal has expired.
Viewership for the TGL Finals will be available later this week. Heading into the championship round, Season 2 matches were averaging 463,000 viewers, which was down from last year’s 498,000 full-season average.
ESPN is expected to pursue an extension, and potentially a deal for the WTGL women’s competition that is planned to launch this coming winter.
Meanwhile, TGL is set to welcome its seventh franchise in Season 3, Motor City Golf Club. The expansion team’s ownership group is led by Middle West Partners, which is fronted by Michael and Peter Hamp, sons of Lions principal owner and chair Sheila Ford Hamp (who is also a team investor alongside her husband, Steve).
