The WNBA wants to build upon a strong 2024, as seen by record attendance and viewership numbers last season; ground-breaking new avenues are driving more interest than ever.

Jewell Loyd of the Aces takes the top spot earning $245,508. Loyd is in the second year of a two-year $491,016 contract. She signed a contract extension with the Storm in 2023, but was traded to Las Vegas in February as part of a three-team deal.

Kahleah Copper of the Mercury is second earning $245,059. The nine-year vet was traded last year from the Sky to Phoenix. She had signed an extension in 2023 worth $490,118.

Wings star Arike Ogunbowale comes in third taking in $241,984 annually.

The former fifth overall pick is coming off a season where she averaged 22.2 ppg, second-highest in her career. Ogunbowale signed a 3-year extension worth $725.9K with Dallas in 2022. She was their fifth overall pick in the 2019 draft.

Fourth is Marina Mabrey of the Sun earning $206,667 annually. Mabrey has made $639,881 with four teams in her six-year career.

Rounding out the top five is Kayla McBride earning $205,000. McBride signed a two-year, $413,000 contract extension in 2023 with the Lynx. She was drafted third overall in the 2014 draft and earned $115,000 annually on her rookie deal.

The Sky lead all teams with four shooting guards featured among the league’s highest-paid.
